'wala' is also used in tashelhiyt for 'prés, proche' 'near, close to' like [az', akumir]

ANARAG is the word for neighbour/voisin in Touareg/tamahaq it comes from RG='prés, proche'

I was reading ISAFFN GHBANIN of M.Peyron and noticed this word:
MENWALA: entourage, voisins
(the same form as mensiwt, menziwt etc...)

Is this word also used in amarg or in tashelhiyt in general in the forms; wala, menwala [or an other form]?

Une correction de ce qu'a ecrit tamaynut

da(d) ti twalat (au lieu de da tiwalt)

Tawala: le tour


Da(d)+ verbe à la forme simple= temps futur ,qui correspond pratiquement au futur simple du français

There are many words to express the idea of proximity and neighbouring zund:
(gh w) ammas, (gh) tighurdin, (gh) imi. I shall have forgotten some here.

In respect of your question, would the song of Oudaden named "Asgwas wala sin" meet the requirement?
I thought "wala" was inherited from the patois "ula" meaning "or" in english ("ou bien" in FR), but now I am not so sure.

Oui wala dans la chanson d'udaden n'est qu'une forme particuliere de ula

Tanmirt Agoram, je me disais bien que c'était plutôt "ula". Dommage, Idir cherchait des occurrences du mot dans l'amarg entre autres sources.

-Menwala est tres utilise en arabe. J'entends souvent ce mot dans les locutions arabes. peut etre que c'st un emprunt amazigh

-Est ce que TAWALA (tour, cad nouba en darija ) a u lien qvec ce WALA?

c est de l arabe. il vient du verbe waala (والى، يولاي)

menwala en darija marocaine signifie: "n'importe qui", "le premier venu"...

dans l'amarg on retrouve le mot chez izenzaren chamkh:

inmala, par abus de langage iwala, proche
