Pour moi, c'est une opinion comme toutes les autres. Elle ne consititue en aucun cas une insulte ni une diffamation a l'encontre du roi.
Si Nadia Yassine est condamnee, cela constiturait une grave atteinte aux droits de l'homme.
Le gouvernement par son porte parole vient de condamner les propos de Nadia (lire ci-apres). Ce qui donne un champs libre a la justice Makhzeniene marocaine de baillonner definitivement Nadia. Et c'est grave pour la democratie et pour l'etat de droit.

Law shall be applied against freedom misuse

The Law will be applied ?against those who misuse the atmosphere of democracy and freedom, to which Morocco is committed, to damage the institutions and the sacred values of our country,? Minister of Communication, Spokesperson of the government, Nabil Benabdellah stated on Tuesday.

Referring to the recent statements of Islamist activist Nadia Yassine that the monarchy does not suit Morocco, Benabdellah stressed, during the question time at the House of Advisors, that ?the government will not hesitate to apply the law as a legal approach?. He confirming that a ?political approach? requiring the mobilization of everybody might also be resorted to in order to counter any destructive attempts.
Nadia Yassine, daughter of the leader of the non-recognized islamist movement Al Adl Wal Ihsane (justice and charity), Abdessalam Yassine, declared early June to the Arabic-speaking weekly Al Ousbouia Al Jadida that she preferred the republican regime, adding that the monarchy did not suit Morocco.
Benabdellah declared that ?harming the institutions that preserve the unity of the country shall not be permitted.?
He said the reforms that Morocco had introduced to enhance human rights and the rule of law were meant to ?fortify the immunity of our country (...) and enable the media to accompany the changes Morocco is witnessing, promote its image abroad and encourage citizens to subscribe to reform and development projects.?
Since the publication of Yassine's statements, the Civil Society, the political parties and the local media, including Islamist ones, have voiced unanimous condemnation of such declarations that ?oppose the beliefs? and the ?choice? that Moroccans have made for since many centuries.
Nadia Yassine and the director of Al Ousbouia Al Jadida, Abdelaziz Koukas, will appear before court on June 28 in relation to these statements.
