Moroccan TV 2M and Egypt’s Media Production City Sign Cooperation Agreement
CAIRO, Feb.12 - The Moroccan TV channel “2M” and the Cairo-based Media Production City on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement under which the two sides will co-produce movies, programs and TV serials.
The agreement was signed by 2M Director general Mustapha Benali and Abderrahman Hafed, chairman of the state-owned City on the occasion of the visit to Cairo of Moroccan minister of Communication Nabil Benabdallah.
On Sunday, the two Moroccan state-owned TV channels, “TVM” and “2M” became available on the Egyptian satellite “Nile Sat”, under an agreement concluded between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by Nabil Benabdallah and the chairman of "Nile Sat", Amine Bassiouni, in the presence of the Egyptian Information minister Safwat Charif.
A separate agreement was also concluded between the Egyptian “International Academy of Information” and the Moroccan “Higher Institute of Information and Communication” , providing for the exchange of visits by students and teachers.
